Namaste from India! After about twenty hours of travel and a few hours of sleep, I found this view of Bangaluru from our hotel. Bangaluru is growing at a furious pace. Beneath the towers and canopy, lies a bustling city that is always on the move.
After leaving the Museum of Natural History, I hailed a cab during the worst possible time. It was rush hour AND President Obama was leaving the White House. It took forever to hail a cab and about thirty minutes to drive a few miles. While getting to know my cab driver, I thought of my 8th graders and their work to explore citizenship and civic identity. This turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of my trip to DC.
